A chilling terror has begun to grip the city of New Jersey. This usually vibrant and cheerful place is now overshadowed by a series of horrific murders occurring on the 13th of each month. A masked killer armed with a sharp weapon prowls the streets at night, targeting unsuspecting residents.
Overview
This illustration draws inspiration from the iconic horror film series Friday the 13th, but it’s presented in a charming retro black-and-white cartoon style. The characters are depicted as adorable animal mascots, specifically cats, which are often associated with spooky themes. The use of a retro black-and-white palette enhances the classic horror vibe, creating a delightful yet eerie atmosphere.
To align with our charming interpretation while maintaining the retro style theme, we designed a poster and t-shirt inspired by the illustration and character we developed. Additionally, we produced an opening banner typically displayed at the beginning of retro cartoons.
