Project Showcase: The DoughLab 🍕
A Storytelling Journey to Sell Dough Balls
Client: The DoughLab, located in the Netherlands
Target Audience: Pizzerias, fast food chains, hotel chains across the Benelux region
The Challenge:
The DoughLab specializes in providing pizza dough balls to businesses needing high-quality, ready-to-use dough in bulk. Their previous website was static, making it hard to convey their unique selling proposition—saving kitchen prep time while maintaining consistent quality. They needed a more engaging platform that could appeal to their B2B customers in a compelling way.
The Solution:
This website was built using Framer, a platform known for its interactive capabilities and smooth animations. To transform their static site into a storytelling-driven experience, we focused on scroll-based animations that allow users to engage with the content as they move through the site. The result? A website that tells The DoughLab’s story while showcasing its product’s value in an immersive way.
Scrolling Animations:
One of the key features of this project is its dynamic scrolling animations. The animations were designed to guide visitors through the DoughLab’s story — from the kitchen efficiency their dough balls offer to customer testimonials. This added an interactive layer to the website, making it more than just a landing page but a complete visual experience.
Highlighting the Product’s Value:
At the heart of the site was the messaging around saving time in the kitchen. The DoughLab helps businesses speed up pizza production without sacrificing quality. Our approach was to showcase this value visually and contextually — demonstrating how ready-to-use dough balls can cut down prep time, allowing kitchens to focus on what they do best.
Built with Framer:
Framer’s flexibility allowed us to execute the dynamic scrolling animations and storytelling aspects seamlessly. From initial design to execution, Framer gave us the tools to create an experience that’s both visually captivating and highly functional.
The Handoff:
While the project was built and presented, the website is still under discussion for implementation by The DoughLab team. Currently, they have not fully transitioned from their static site, but we’re hopeful that they’ll recognize the value in switching to this storytelling-driven platform.
