1-Bit Mac OS X (Icons)
Another semester goes to the end and I wanna share one of my projects I did. These Icons and UI's are part of a (very interesting) course called "Parallel Universes" by Sebastian Schmieg. My approach for the last task was: What would happen with the today's (Mac) interface when the displays didn't receive any further development since the 1980s?. I ended up recreating the UI's for common and professional apps based on the 1-Bit color OS Apple's System 6. Unexpectedly Sketch and Final Cut Pro X worked really well on this incredibly small screen of 512x342px. Even 1-Bit video's could be possible!
Would be nice to have this in real action. But sadly my developer skills are not good enough to make something happen.
Checkout the attachments for the App UI's or take a look at this video to see the apps in action.
PS: Feel free to rebound this shot with more 1-Bit icons of todays great apps (or whatever). 😉
