FreeCast Brand

TV for Free

FreeCast is a branding project I was involved with at 321 the Agency. Being Lead Designer, I, alongside our Creative and Art Directors, pitched 3 brand directions to the client. Each direction focused on an angle the brand could lean into for marketing themselves. One direction positioned the brand as an affordable luxury. Another idea played up the simplification of having all of your streaming apps in one hub (plus free live channels), and the third concept, which they moved forward with, highlighted the brand as the future of TV.

Brand Guidelines

Using a vibrant color palette against a black abysmal background, a brutalist headline font, and pairing it all with holographic 3D elements, we created a dimensional world for FreeCast to exist within. A world which you control as the TV viewer.

Packaging

The product is a device that serves as a hub, allowing all of your home devices to connect through it in order to receive the live channels freely. It can be purchased for consumer use, but it can also be used commercially, giving hotels or apartment communities a way to offer free television to guests and residents.

Apparel

A shirt design for installation team members.

UI Mockup

A concept for how the branding might cross over into the FreeCast interface.

FreeCast referred to the brand guidelines we created and updated their website internally www.freecast.com.
