For healthcare professionals (HCPs), the process of registering with pharmaceutical companies like GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is often tedious, with piles of paperwork and multiple verification steps. As part of the larger VaxiKart project, my goal was to streamline this experience and make it as seamless as possible.

The challenge was clear: we needed to develop a KYC (Know Your Customer) portal that would simplify the registration and onboarding process for HCPs, ensuring compliance while reducing friction.

We began by examining the manual processes that were slowing everything down. HCPs were required to submit numerous documents, and verification was handled manually by GSK, leading to delays and frustration.

My approach focused on designing an intuitive, user-friendly online portal that allowed HCPs to register, upload their documents, and track their verification status — all in one place. The portal’s design had to balance ease of use with the strict regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical industry.

Working closely with GSK, I mapped out user flows, created wireframes, and moved into high-fidelity prototypes that would guide HCPs through the registration process step by step. The portal was designed with both user psychology and GSK’s technical architecture in mind, ensuring that it would integrate smoothly with their internal systems.

After launching the portal, GSK’s manual verification process became significantly more efficient, reducing onboarding time and making the registration experience frictionless for HCPs. This not only improved the user experience but also helped GSK maintain a compliant and streamlined verification process for their healthcare partners.
