La Siesta Taqueria Branding

La Siesta Taqueria logo in white over a dark, cactus image

The Problem

La Siesta Taqueria is a traditional Mexican eatery in Winter Haven, FL. They might be small, but they are mighty. Daring to say that they are the best Mexican restaurant in the entire area, but the visual identity of the business was falling behind, and that's where we come in, all visuals were completely redesigned, with a bold presence to match the incredible flavors of the food served.

The solution

We opted for bold colors and a lighthearted approach, using hand-drawn typography to reinforce the connection to the traditional and handmade food they serve. The new brand mark refers to the old logo, as a legacy of their enduring personality, even though the looks can change, the flavor must remain. The tone of the brand is fun and friendly, to bring new clients in and please the existing ones.

The Outcome

The restaurant had a significant increase in foot traffic, now that the façade is more easily recognized from the street since the restaurant sits on the side of the building. The new menus are better organized, facilitating for the customers to decide on their order, and easier to be printed in-house, eliminating the need for a vendor to produce them.
