Pastoral — Guide profile
The problem with Google Maps for niche users — e.g. vegetarians — is that it can sometimes be too hard to find niche restaurants. When the listing is even available, the data can be somewhat sparse or unreliable.
Pastoral is envisioned to be an online community; just picture the way Couchsurfing used to work. The members of this community become the driving force behind what makes it so powerful: they create Journey Guides and post themselves for hire as a local guide on the Directory. All to help plant-based lifestylers (almost 10% of 🇺🇸US adults in 2022 & up to 39% of 🇮🇳Indian people) travel comfortably.
Pictured here is how Pastoral's local guide screen would look like. Ms. Aguillon here would be showcasing her photo, bio, why and how she's local, and also her availability for your given itinerary which was set previously. Having a native messaging feature ensures that online security rules are better met by making moderation more available and that she would never have to send her personal contact information.
Life doesn't have to be hard for plant-based lifestylers. What do you think about our app
roach?
