Introduction

In today’s fast-paced digital environment, the user experience has become a critical factor in determining the success of applications, especially those focused on education and behavior change. The design of GreenCampus, a mobile app developed to encourage sustainable practices at the University of Makati, was created with this in mind. The objective was to craft a user interface that is intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing, ensuring that it resonates with both students and faculty.

The design prioritizes simplicity and accessibility, allowing users to easily navigate the app and complete sustainability tasks. By incorporating features such as task prioritization, real-time progress tracking, and gamification elements like point systems and rewards, the interface not only educates users on eco-friendly behaviors but also motivates them to participate and stay engaged.

In essence, the UI design of GreenCampus was developed with the user at its core. The goal was to create a platform that is both functional and inspiring, providing an easy-to-use tool that helps the university community take meaningful action towards environmental responsibility. This design reflects the broader mission of the app: to make sustainability an achievable and rewarding part of everyday life on campus.
