The past era has always captivated me. There’s something about the rich textures, intricate detailing, and elegance of past periods that feels both nostalgic and aspirational.
The Gilded Era (late 19th century) in particular holds a special place in my heart. It was a period of luxury, with bold silhouettes, flashy materials, and detailed craftsmanship serving as a symbol of social status.
During this time, the social elite used their lavish lifestyles as a means to assert their status and influence.
In designing Quatrefois website, I wanted to merge these two worlds: one of historical grandeur and the other of modern minimalism.
