Overview: Robert D. Niehaus, Inc. (RDN) was founded in 1983 and has built a reputation for providing detailed economic analysis, forecasting, and planning for both private and government entities. Specializing in regional and resource economic analysis, RDN sought to modernize its online presence to effectively communicate its value and engage visitors more dynamically.
Discovery: RDN approached us with a dated website that failed to convey their expertise clearly, hindering their online presence and potentially impacting their recruitment efforts. Through in-depth discussions with RDN’s team, we identified goals for the new site, including creating a more engaging and visually appealing platform that differentiates them from competitors and serves as a powerful recruiting tool for potential employees.
Before
UX strategy: Following the discovery phase, we focused on structuring the information architecture of the new site and created wireframes to visualize the user journey. A critical aspect of our strategy was ensuring the design facilitated ongoing engagement, achieved by incorporating prominent calls to action (CTAs) at the end of pages to guide visitors seamlessly through the content.
Build: With a solid framework in place, we commenced the website development process, emphasizing a modern aesthetic through the strategic use of whitespace, compelling imagery, and typographical elements to highlight RDN’s key offerings. To enhance user experience, we designed the site to be intuitive, allowing RDN to easily update content in the future while integrating subtle animations for added appeal.
Test & Launch: After rigorous testing across various browsers and devices, we prepared for the launch of RDN’s new site. Hosting the site ourselves streamlined the process, and after executing a detailed launch plan, we successfully made the new website live, allowing everyone involved to celebrate the culmination of their hard work.
