Northgate Eichler community - custom artwork

Built between 1969 and 1970, the lesser known Walnut Creek community of Northgate (once called “Walnut Grove) consists of just 34 Eichler Homes, making it considerably smaller than it’s better known Eichler Homes neighbor of Rancho San Miguel, as well as one of the last developments Joseph Eichler built before he passed away in 1974.

And while the number of homes may be smaller (certainly smaller than the original 86 that were planned), the sizes of the houses and lots are not. Lots average over 10,00 square feet, while homes are all well over 2,000 square feet, many with atriums. People sometimes dub the larger homes “Super Eichlers”.

If you own one of these beautiful homes, or just love them like I do, consider commissioning a MOD-icon (minimalist house illustration), neighborhood map, or an aluminum historic home plaque. I would love to work with you!
