Album Cover LUSH Mitski

I’ve been on a creative journey lately, experimenting with the tension between light and dark in my work. This cover for Mitski’s Lush became a personal project that reflects the complex emotions I’ve been exploring. Even when I use bright, cheerful colors, I find that darker elements naturally make their way into the composition—much like in Liquid Smooth, where beauty and vulnerability coexist.

For this design, I wanted to capture that same feeling. At first glance, the soft colors seem inviting, but as you look deeper into the shadows, there’s a tension, a sense of unease. It mirrors how we often present a polished exterior to the world, while hiding our struggles and fears underneath.

This cover is my interpretation of how Lush made me feel—layered, raw, and deeply personal.

I’m still learning to embrace these layers in both my work and myself, and this project helped me bring those themes into focus.
