Antigone YouTube Channel Intro

Antigone is a dormant YouTube channel which once hosted videos about music gear. During the pandemic, I decided to rework the branding in the perspective of reviving the channel. The process started with remaking the opening credits. I wanted to communicate the positioning of the channel, at the intersection of music and technology, in a series of short scenes, hinting at the experimental and eclectic spirit of the channel.
The symbols used in the TV scene are I Ching hexagrams. They represent a process in nature or human nature and can reveal future luck, growth, or misfortunes. I wrote a small program flashing random ones on a small TV.
The credits sequence is composed of a series of small scenes representing the various aspects of the channel as well as evoking the experimental and playful spirit of the project. Some show actual sound experiments I was planning to make videos about, like the plant sonification scene, while others are more random and were simply added as a kind of visual punctuation.
The sound design was a lot of fun to work on as well. I tried to create micro-ambiances reflecting the mood of each scene, which I think adds a lot to the overall feel of the sequence.
