Breaking the Cycle: Quick Portrait Practices 1

This is an early example from my initial attempts at practicing quick portrait studies. In these works, my goal was to complete them within about an hour. While it helped me increase my drawing speed and productivity, I ended up making more practice pieces. The focus on speed caused me to overlook certain mistakes and details, but overall, I ended up with more completed works.

My tendency to spend too much time on my projects had become a problem for me. I struggled to decide when to finalize my work. This time-restricted practice helped me break the cycle between ‘good enough’ and ‘better.
