UI Experiment: Sidebar navigation with child indicators

"What if sidebar navigation parent items had an indicator for how many child items they have?"

I’ve been experimenting with common UI patterns. Often during projects I think of design solutions that are out of scope to be tested and implemented during the project. However, creating a proof of concept allows me to investigate and evaluate them myself for the future use.

This one is about displaying child item counts on parent items. Often in products like Wiki's these parents can hold many children, which themselves are nested. So I experimented with indicating their size or capacity in some way.
