Quack

Objective: 

Quack is a food truck business specializing in sandwiches, fries, and drinks. It is a fast-casual dining option with a limited menu. The design objective was to create a brand identity for Quack that reflects its fast, casual, and simple nature yet maintain it's quirky and playful nature. The branding should be visually distinctive, welcoming, and reflect the lighthearted experience of eating from a food truck.​​​​​​​

Design:

The overall design reflects a fast, fun, and energetic dining experience, focusing on balancing simplicity and quirkiness. Central to the design is the name QUACK. The design revolves around this, incorporating a duck mascot, custom illustrations, and catchy taglines that thematically fit. The duck mascot and playful design elements communicate the friendly, lighthearted vibe of the business, while the minimal color palette highlights the business’s straightforward menu. By using these key elements, the Quack brand achieves a balance of simplicity and playfulness, creating a visual identity that stands out while communicating its fast, casual dining experience with a fun and quirky edge.

Key Design Elements:

For Quack's brand identity, it was essential to balance simplicity with playful elements, ensuring the design is eye-catching and approachable while maintaining a clean and minimal aesthetic.

Custom Illustrations:

Simple, minimal line-drawn illustrations are created to emphasize menu options and various poses and activities of the duck mascot and illustrations. These include walking, eating, or interacting with customers, to keep the visual design dynamic and engaging.

Typeface:

A clean yet playful typeface that reflects the quirky and fun nature of the brand. The typeface is legible, especially in fast-paced settings, whilst maintaining a friendly and casual tone. The typeface also matches with the illustrations and duck mascot. 

Color Palette:

A minimal and clean palette using black and white as the foundational colors. These colors should help maintain the brand’s straightforward, fast, and casual nature, providing a crisp and modern look. A subtle yet vibrant use of orange to highlight key elements, such as the duck mascot or specific design accents. The orange brings in a playful, energetic pop of color without overwhelming the minimal design.
