Love you,

Small animation project regarding my sense of identity as a trans man and the self-love I hold for my younger self. It is often assumed that transgender individuals regret/purposely forget their past selves in order to move forward with their transition. The reality is that, much like everyone else, our childhoods help shape who we are today. I feel no amount of regret in the way I was raised, girlhood or not. Through that self-love, I'm able to easily navigate my sense of identity moving forward.

This animation helped me experiment with color overlays, masking, as well as After Effect's 3D camera tools & animating figures in depth. All assets were drawn in Photoshop then assembled into After Effects.
