Marble Muse
This piece reflects the inner conflict we all experience—the tension between the hardness we project and the vulnerability we conceal. Sculpted from marble-like textures, the figure represents the masks we wear daily, crafted to protect us but also to hide our true selves. Influenced by Renaissance and Baroque traditions, the portrait's intense gaze confronts the viewer, inviting them to question their own defenses and emotional facades. Through this artwork, I hope to explore the beauty in our struggles and provoke thought about how we navigate a world that often values strength over authenticity. This work is a tribute to those moments where the weight of our masks feels unbearable, yet we continue to hold them up, longing to be seen and understood beneath the stone.
