29/32 – Salt Lake Hornets Uniforms

Behind the Stitches

The Hornets are buzzing with these black and yellow threads.

Salt Lake dons a stripeless black helmet paired with a black facemask. The primary hornet logo, specifically designed to fit the contour of a modern helmet, is showcased on both sides. The single color "Hornets" wordmark occupies the front bumper with the "Salt Lake" wordmark on the rear.

Across black, white, and yellow base uniform top options, the black color-blocked collar and sleeves remain throughout. The sleeves incorporate two yellow "stinger stripe", two stacked stripes in which the center pinches downwards coming to a point, mimicking the anatomy of a hornet stinger. On the black set, a one-color "Hornets" wordmark is placed below the collar and is swapped for the "Salt Lake" wordmark on the two others.

The three jersey options are paired with three matching pant options. The primary hornet logo is placed on each hip and a modified version of the color-blocked-sleeve-and-stinger-stripe mechanism runs the length of each leg.

The jersey number set is an extension of the team's typography – building off of the same frame as the team wordmarks and incorporating the same pointed serifs and hexagonal references.

These mockups were made with a modified and retextured Madden 20 on PC. The in-game screenshots were then used to create a composition in Photoshop.
