The Concept

Since I've read plenty of articles about heat waves as a worldwide problem, I decided to address it via art.

The heat waves themselves are depicted as literal waves. The focal point is the person surfing on a heated thermometer, illustrating the process of adaptation for this issue. Moreover, the tilted background, which is a beach, conveys the danger of the waves, as it means that the person can fall off the board, and it also adds up to the overall dynamic of the scene. The color palette is vibrant and vivid, expressing the relevance of this issue and giving hope.

Overall, this was very captivating to draw as I got to address a relevant issue!
