Sea turtles are ancient mariners of the ocean, having roamed the seas for over 100 million years. Known for their graceful swimming and long migrations, these majestic creatures travel thousands of miles between feeding grounds and nesting beaches. There are seven species of sea turtles, each playing a crucial role in maintaining the health of marine ecosystems, from controlling jellyfish populations to helping seagrass beds thrive. Despite their resilience, sea turtles face numerous threats, including habitat loss, pollution, and poaching, making their conservation a global priority.
