Just a fun little passion project I'm starting: illustrating some of my favorite emojis!

Enjoy this GIF as a peek behind my process: start with building your vector shapes & opacity set to multiply to imagine how the ink texturing will layer, then separate by color, texturize to your heart's content, and add some paper texture on top!

I just discovered the True Grit Texture Supply Atomica effects pack from Mod Bird Creative Studio's beautiful work (and my pal Karl Nilsson helping me find the obvious lol) and it's safe to say I'm having a lot of fun experimenting with it!
