717C Frame Animation

As a part of 717 Church's identity, a series of looping animations were crafted for use across their digital presence. From a rougher frame animation style to more polished and sleek 3D, these animations can be used across different mediums to dynamically showcase 717's identity.

Frame by frame —

For this loop, the process started in the Procreate app where I drew each frame out one by one. I wanted to start with a single point that would move in an arch and eventually fill in the logo's shapes. The fun came when adding little particles that broke off and supported the overall motion of the main particle while also adding some visual interest.

Adding the sauce —

Once the animation was finalized, I brought it into After Effects and started to give it some texture and context. Adding brand colors, some glows and lighting effects, and a subtle noise texture helped to tie the animation style to the rest of the 717 Church identity.
