Overview

RDW Roofing, a leading Tasmanian roofing company, wanted to revamp their online presence to reflect their professionalism and broad range of services. The primary goal was to ensure that users could easily access relevant information while maintaining a visually compelling and user-friendly design.

Problem

One challenge was balancing the client's enthusiasm for a roofing lifespan tool they loved and wanted to showcase prominently. However, placing the tool at the top of the homepage would disrupt the user journey, so a more strategic placement was required.

Approach

I recommended integrating the roofing lifespan tool into the navigation menu as an anchor link to avoid interfering with the initial flow of the homepage. This solution gave the tool prominence without compromising UX principles. Additionally, I created a feature in the hero section that displays different roofing projects. Users can either navigate directly to the project or refresh to see another, adding an interactive and dynamic element to the homepage.

Solution

✷ Hero Section: A project carousel allows users to explore RDW Roofing's portfolio directly from the hero, enhancing engagement.

✷ Roofing Lifespan Tool: Strategically integrated as an anchor link in the navigation, ensuring it is easily accessible without distracting from the core services.

✷ UX-Optimised Layout: Key service areas are prominently displayed, ensuring users can easily find the information they need.
