Beeline Bent Magazine (2/4)
These are pages 3 and 4 from the magazine spreads that I designed for a hypothetical Foam Magazine cover.
I named the exhibition of my street photography “Beeline Bent” as all of the photographs appear to be straight. However, at a closer look you can see that the objects in focus are wonky compared to their background environments. These photographs were randomly inspired whilst I was out taking photos in Leeds, and the fact that a lot of stuff is broken and bent in that I live.
These pages correspond with each other and react in a similar way. The placement of the text follows the angles in the photographs, and the empty space along the bottom of this 2-page spread gives it a better sense of depth, and gives the contents more room to breathe.
