Bolton Wanderers F.C. 150 Anniversary re-design proposal
A famous football club will celebrate its 150th birthday in 3 years, and this could be my gift to him.
I have been following Bolton FC for the last 20 years, and as I'm a designer, it was logical to try to improve their visual identity. Such an important anniversary is certainly a good occasion for such a thing.
In 2001, a redesign brought one of the most famous football crests, with stripes that adorned it for 12 years. In 2013, it was the turn of a new redesign that is still used today.
After analysis, I determined several reasons why the design should be improved.
