Hey Designers!

We’re excited to dive deeper into the grid-based note-taking experience we’ve been exploring. The core idea revolves around smooth transitions between different interaction states. When users enter note-taking mode, the interface shifts from a grid overview to a focused, minimal note-taking screen, ensuring clarity and a distraction-free space for ideas. Once a note is saved or dismissed, the app returns to the grid where notes are visually organized for easy navigation.

One design consideration to callout is how the icon styles adapt to different views. In the 3-card grid, the icons are minimal and subtle, keeping the focus on the overview of all notes. In the 2-card and single-card layouts, the icons become more prominent, giving users quick access to actions like editing, media integration, and categorizing. This dynamic icon scaling is designed to make interaction feel intuitive while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
