Mr Notears Video clip
I was responsible for creating the music video for the single “The Creeper” by musician MrNotears. This project encompassed the entire creative and production process, including developing the storyboard, animatic, character design, background design, and color palette. I also handled the full 2D animation, bringing together all these elements to create a cohesive and visually engaging music video that complements the artist’s vision and sound.
Reel
I also created a promotional reel to announce the release of the music video on his social media platforms. This reel was carefully crafted to capture the essence of the music video, featuring key scenes and dynamic animations that build anticipation and engage his audience. The aim was to maximize visibility and drive excitement for the release, aligning with the overall visual style and branding of both the artist and the single.
Moodboard
The initial step in the creative process was developing a comprehensive moodboard that combined the client’s vision with my own creative concepts. This moodboard served as a visual foundation, showcasing a range of inspirations, reference images, and stylistic elements that aligned with the desired aesthetic of the project. It not only captured the overall look and feel but also provided a direction for the color palette, textures, and thematic elements to be used in the video. By presenting this curated collection of visuals, the moodboard helped establish a cohesive tone and guided the creative decisions throughout the design and animation stages, ensuring that the final product resonated with both the client’s expectations and the mood of the song.
Animatic
The next stage involved developing an animatic, which is an animated storyboard that serves as a crucial step in visualizing the final video. This process required translating the client's vision and the song's mood into a dynamic sequence of frames. The animatic was designed to capture the pacing, movement, and overall atmosphere of the music, ensuring that every visual element aligned with the intended emotional tone and narrative flow. This stage provided a clear blueprint for the subsequent animation work, allowing for feedback and adjustments before moving into full production.
