Data-driven product development, from a case study
Working in a data-driven continuous product development environment...these sorts of screens are something we looked at every day. As I build out my case studies, I've had to find a way to communicate just what that could mean.
There's never one metric; neither does more always mean good.
Data-driven means there are nuances and need to dig deeper in what you're measuring, understanding what that means. Even if it's positive in "converting more customers now" it could be negative return-on-investment overall, especially if other measures offset the Good with Bad.
But, "it depends" makes for a bad case study.
So, I made a screen of some of what that may look like.
