Vibe Check

This project was for a wedding photographer, who wanted to revamp her website and social media icons so that they more fully expressed her fun and unique personality.

She requested designs that were friendly, vibrant and full of character, reflecting her love for music & socialising with a slightly retro style.

The brief was to create icons to seamlessly fit with her existing website colours & branding, while giving them a fresh, personal touch that would resonate with potential clients.

Design Process

Some early sketches, guided by the previous website artwork to make sure that the final pieces would remain true to the original style.

The designs were heavily inspired by the client’s love of retro elements & her desire to infuse her personality into her brand. She specifically requested a disco ball, wine glasses and a mouth with a tongue.

I carefully designed each element to stay within her existing colour palette while giving her brand a cute and recognisable flair.

As evidenced by my portfolio I love creating tattoo designs, so this project was right up my street as it almost felt like tattoo flash or a sticker sheet!

Reflections

My favourite thing is creating designs that allow personalities to shine through (especially when they involve a touch of retro and fun 😊).

I really appreciated this opportunity to take my client’s ideas and existing branding, and then translate them into visuals she loved which felt more personal, playful and aligned.
