UX Case Study for a Reading Website for Kids

As part of my UX studies, I was tasked with developing an idea for my final project. I chose to combine two areas I'm passionate about: children and reading. This led to the creation of 'BooKids,' the focus of this UX case study

Overview of the project

BooKids is a website that encourages young children, specifically targeting those aged 8 to 13, to read more and make reading attractive and fun.

The website aims to achieve this by offering a variety of engaging and interactive resources, such as articles about good books, videos, downloadable resources, and gamified elements. By creating a joyful and attractive design, the website seeks to make reading appealing and fun, thereby encouraging more young people to read.

The Competitors

I've made competitive analysis with 3 existing websites: Funbrain, Epic! and Bookopolis.

The Personas

The User Flow

I then design the User Flow for a simple goal as to add a new book to the library of the user account.
