Food Ordering App
Project Food was my first UX design assignment, as part of the Google UX Design program on Coursera.
The Problem:
Difficulty in accessing food services within a theme park often compromises the overall theme park experience for visitors.
The Goal:
To design a food ordering app for a theme park. To make food and snack accessibility convenient for all theme park visitors
The Design:
-Allows users to see all available food vendors and restaurants within the theme park.
-Enables food pre-orders to give users more control over their dining experiences and optimise their time within the theme park.
-Makes use of negative space to improve navigation for users and lessen time-on-task between searching for food vendors and placing an order.
-Provides information on allergens and nutrients so that users with specific dietary needs and concerns are well versed on what they are buying.
-Establishes hierarchy through typography, colour dynamisms, scale and proportion of the icons and landmarks such as the search tab.
-Responsive design meets the dimensions of different devices.
Equity.
-The app design incorporates voice control.
-The design supports pinch and zoom gestures to make the wording more legible.
-The use of landmarks and subheadings in bold letters makes for a smoother traversal order.
