Renewal by Andersen Plan Builder

As the lead designer for a client specializing in custom window replacement, my team and I created a mobile app aimed at empowering users to explore their options independently before committing to an in-person consultation. This project aimed to bridge the gap between traditional in-person consultations and the growing demand for self-research among a large segment of the client's market.

We identified a sizable marketshare (44%) of potential customers who preferred to explore window replacement options on their own before reaching out to the vendor to schedule a consultation. Known as “Efficient Explorers,” these homeowners were generally between the ages of 30 and 45, comfortable using mobile technology like AR and VR, and consider themselves DIYers.

The client was not optimistic that we would be able to replicate the experience of an in-home consultation in a mobile feature, but we were determined to prove them wrong. The resulting prototype tested very well with users and convinced the client to include it as a feature on their mobile website.
