Multi User Swing Seat

Kyle McLane Design was commissioned by Playcore to redesign their multi-user round swing seat. The primary goal of the project was to create a swing that was both aesthetically pleasing and cost effective compared to their existing design. Collaborating closely with Playcore’s engineering department, we successfully developed a swing seat that adhered to all safety guidelines while eliminating the need for expensive secondary parts. Traditionally, most swings require a rubber bumper to meet safety standards. However, we innovated by designing our swing with a large enough radius on the edge of the swing and a bottom structure that allowed for slight movement or shock absorption within the plastic itself. This design not only ensures safety but also reduces costs, resulting in a modern and cost effective swing.
