The Invisible Battle - Book Cover Design for a 2023 Autobiograph
A prominent publisher tasked our agency with the exciting project of recreating the cover for a 2023 autobiography release. The objective was to craft a cover that captivates new readers while accurately reflecting the author's journey and the book's content.
Client & Project Background
The client, a man diagnosed with mental health conditions that effect his daily life and experience of it, sought to have a cover made for his recently completed autobiography to engage a contemporary audience. This project required a balance between modern aesthetics and the authentic representation of the author's life story, ensuring that the cover resonates with those with and within mental health struggles.
Design Brief
The design brief called for a one-piece cover sleeve to wrap the front, back and spine of the book with each side of the book’s outside have the relevant and necessary content presented in an enticing way. Extensive research into the autobiography's content and the author's life was essential to capture the right mood and tone. The typography needed to enhance the book's narrative and appeal to the target audience.
Final Deliverable
The final deliverable was a high-resolution, properly set up and formatted file of the cover sleeve. The cover accurately reflected the author's story and the book's essence, appealing to the target reader and ensuring a beyond successful launch.
