Tayo: Filipino Restaurant

Personal project exploring Filipino diaspora and the deeply ingrained Pinoy culture of finding togetherness around food. ‘Tayo’, loosely translated as ‘together’ or ‘all’, forms part of an ongoing deep dive into what it means to be half-filipina in the UK, the theme of ‘home’ in its many forms, and a desire to understand and pay homage to my mother’s epic journey to West Yorkshire at the tender age of 23.
