Unlike the previous setup, where users only saw posts in chronological order, our new algorithm tailors the feed based on each user’s interests, interactions, and activity history. This means that the content you care about most—whether it’s updates from your favorite anglers, popular catches, or posts about the species you’re targeting—will now appear front and center.
This personalization goes beyond just improving content relevance; it makes the app feel more like your fishing community. Users can also adjust their feed settings to prioritize certain types of content, giving them more control over their social experience.
To further enhance engagement, we’ve applied gamification principles by tapping into the Core Drive of Ownership & Possession. By allowing users to personalize their feeds, we create a sense of ownership over the content they see, encouraging deeper engagement. Game mechanics like customization options reward users for interacting with their feed settings, making the experience more rewarding and tailored to their preferences.
Ultimately, this update not only makes the social experience more relevant and engaging but also empowers users to curate their fishing journey, making every visit to the app uniquely theirs.
