CHARACTER WALK ANIMATION

LEARNING CHARACTER WALK CYCLE WITH DUYIK SCRIPT

During my exploration of character animation, I focused on creating a walk cycle using the Duik script in After Effects. The process began with setting up a character rig with Duik, a powerful tool for automating rigging and animation tasks. I followed a series of tutorials and guides to effectively apply the script’s features.

Using the Duik script, I established the character's bones and linked them to control handles. This setup allowed me to create natural and fluid walking motions by manipulating the character's limbs and body parts. I paid close attention to key aspects such as the timing and spacing of each step to ensure the animation was smooth and realistic.

This training has provided me with valuable skills in animating walk cycles, significantly enhancing my ability to create lifelike and dynamic animations for future projects. The knowledge gained from using the Duik script has improved my understanding of character movement and animation principles, leading to more professional and polished results.
