Creating Fake 3D Animation

Creating Fake 3D Animation

In this project, I used the concept of fake 3D by working with shape paths in After Effects. By manipulating shape paths over time, I was able to create a visual effect that simulates a 3D drawing.

Here's a brief overview of the process:

  1. Shape Paths: I started by creating and setting up shape paths to define the form and structure of my visual elements. This allowed me to control the movement and appearance of these shapes in a 2D space.

  2. Timing Adjustments: I carefully animated the shape paths, adjusting their timing to simulate depth and perspective of a 3D object. This involved moving shapes along different axes and applying transformations to mimic 3D effects.

  3. Visual Effects: Through these adjustments, I achieved a visual representation that resembled a 3D drawing, enhancing the depth and dimensionality of the animation.

This approach allowed me to create dynamic and engaging visuals that create the illusion of three-dimensionality without the need for complex 3D modeling.
