LOOK™ elevates the streaming platform concept to another level. This hybrid mobile app high-fidelity prototype offers you a library of movies, series, and immersive VR360 content.

The Concept

LOOK™ began as a web-based streaming platform but evolved into a more dynamic concept after realizing that major services like Netflix and Disney+ were missing out on VR content. This insight prompted a shift towards incorporating VR, AR, and AI technologies, aligning with emerging trends in media consumption. With the Metaverse predicted to reshape our digital landscape, LOOK™ aims to be at the forefront, offering a fresh perspective on how we interact with media.

The Research

My research involved a comprehensive analysis of subscription models from leading platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+. Key findings highlighted the need for user-friendly onboarding, clear subscription plans, and seamless payment processes. User feedback revealed that while personalized recommendations are valuable, they can also overwhelm. To address this, LOOK™ simplifies the interface with clear categories like “You may like” and “Trending,” ensuring a more intuitive browsing experience.

A significant aspect of the research was the development of LOOK™’s exclusive VR360 library. Unlike other platforms, LOOK™ provides curated VR experiences, from exploring ocean depths and outer space to attending live concerts and sports events. This unique offering was inspired by personal VR experiences and a deep dive into VR/AR/AI technologies, ensuring that LOOK™ delivers an engaging and novel user experience.

The Brand

The name LOOK™ is designed to be visually striking and versatile, suggesting both visual exploration and attention. The logo integrates virtual reality goggles, represented in a bold, rounded Newake font. The branding uses a vivid purple gradient to symbolize luxury and futuristic innovation, complemented by cyan blue to enhance design depth. Infocards for shows feature personalized gradients that mirror the show’s poster colors, adding to the visual appeal.

The Colors

Purple, chosen for its associations with luxury and the mystical, perfectly captures the essence of LOOK™ by blending nostalgic and futuristic vibes. The primary gradient transitions from a vivid purple to darker shades, embodying the app’s seamless integration of the real and virtual worlds. Cyan blue, used as a secondary color, adds depth and contrast to the design, enhancing the overall visual experience.

The Fonts

Lato, designed by Łukasz Dziedzic, was selected for its balance of simplicity and elegance. Its subtle decorative elements, such as the merging of “f” and “i,” provide a distinctive touch while maintaining legibility, making it an ideal choice for LOOK™.

LOOK™ is poised to set new standards in streaming by blending traditional content with immersive VR experiences, making it a unique and forward-thinking addition to the media landscape.
