Big Foot

I was recently contacted by a very large publisher and asked if I was interested in working on a book with them.

Before getting started the publisher requested that I do a test spread for them, I agreed and was asked to draw a Sasquatch (I was well up for this!)

I asked if there was budget to pay me to do the test spread and the publisher said there wasn't, because of this I refused to do the test spread and in turn another artist was given the job.

I could talk at length about why large publishers that turn gross profits of tens of millions each year should pay creators for their time and that such business practices create boundaries to enter into the industry, starving the industry of important narratives and points of view from those that cannot afford to work for free, but I won't waste my breath..

Despite not getting the job, I still wanted to draw the Sasquatch, I decided to push myself and do a fun little comic that surrounds the border of the artwork.

Enjoy x
