Somethin’ Sour Raspberry & Watermelon Label Design
Illustration and label designed for Mudhen Brewing Company in Wildwood, NJ. This 2-piece illustration project began with the center painting and line work continuation around the horizontal length of the can. Packaging design so tasty you don't even need to read the label to know the flavor inside!
This was delicious to illustrate. Did you know every illustration begins with a pencil sketch? Yep, I’m very analog. For the @mudhenbrew labels, the center full color illustration is painted by hand in Procreate on my iPad Pro, while the horizontal line work remains pen & ink on paper. After the ink drawing is digitized, we use it for the sides of the can to complete the scene with the speciality foil printing shining through. In this scene, the watermelon fields continue as well as raspberry bushes.
