Ethereal Waffles
To make this look right, the client suggested that I try to make the design feel rounded like a waffle and add some fluffiness to it. My solution ended up with me creating a cloud-like outline around the waffle and text. I also wanted to find a font that would fit the bubbly and friendly feeling to the logo, and this was the result.
After getting the design finished, I figured it was a good idea to fit it on a syrup bottle to fit with the waffle theme. Initially I had thought of using a brochure, but I believed that having a waffle logo on a syrup bottle would fit with the theme better.
My ideas when starting this originally mostly involved the text resembling the movement of a rainbow or involving some waffle illustrations. While these ideas didn't stick, they did eventually lead me to creating the final result.
Enter your text here...Of all of these, the second one had the most effort put into it, as I had created it as a 3D model to make it much easier for me to adjust. Many of these could work very well for illustrations, but I had made some mistakes on distinguishing between a logo and an illustration. In the end, I had simplified it after doing some more research online.
When I had my final design finished, I also came up with a few other color palettes. I aimed for a more pastel-y color palette for each, with one having chocolate-y colors, and another having strawberry. However, in the end, the client was looking for more breakfast-styled colors.
After a lot of trial and error and some proper feedback, I was able to get a design that both the client and I was satisfied with.
