On January 26-27, in the Digital Park (Community Hall, mun. Chisinau, str. Mihai Viteazul 15A) was held the Nistru TruthBridge hackathon, organized by Transparency International Moldova with the support of the project "Building sustainable and inclusive peace, building trust and social cohesion in Moldova", funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund, implemented by OHCHR, UNDP and UN Women, which aimed to bring together programmers to create and develop digital tools to prevent and combat disinformation and hate speech.

For two days, more than 50 people from both sides of the Dniester River worked intensively to identify digital tools to discover and counter disinformation in real time, before it spreads too far into the public space.

Participants in the hackathon tested, experimented and turned its innovative solution concepts into working prototypes with the help of mentors from the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Georgia, online data visualization professionals, media experts and analysts in the field of preventing and combating disinformation, IT and application development specialists.
