Poster Design for Competition

A poster I designed with the International Short Film Festival ‘Ciudad de Soria’ Poster Contest in mind. The brief called for a design that symbolized Brazil and short films, while avoiding overly obvious film-related imagery.

After researching, I chose to feature a jaguar, a powerful symbol of Brazil's rich wildlife and culture, combined with a clapperboard, subtly referencing the world of cinema. I used these elements together to create a cohesive and unique visual narrative that reflects both the essence of Brazil and the art of filmmaking.

I combined a custom typography and a ready font to highlight the headline. My goal was to integrate the text with illustrations effectively.

The design also includes a reserved space in the bottom right corner for the addition of sponsor and festival logos.
