Elevating Canine Care: Design System & App Development for ilume
I had the opportunity to work as a Product Designer on Ilume, a holistic health and well-being platform for dogs. This project was more than just an app—it encompassed a full ecosystem, including custom hardware like a tracker, bowl, and hub.
Together, these components work seamlessly to monitor a dog's activity and tailor food portions, helping to maintain the healthiest weight for each dog.
My role involved creating a robust design system, leading the app development, and conducting extensive research and testing. Adopting a Design Thinking methodology, I focused on understanding and solving key pain points for dog owners.
The result is an intuitive, cohesive user experience that integrates software with hardware, ensuring that every interaction—from monitoring activity with the tracker to measuring precise food portions with the smart bowl—feels effortless and meaningful.
Collaboration with developers and direct feedback from users were key to refining the product. By iterating based on real-world use and technical insights, we ensured that the ilume platform truly meets the needs of dog owners. This comprehensive solution empowers users to proactively manage their pets' health, combining advanced technology with thoughtful design.
