Making of Samround Font: A Designer's Perspective
Creating the Samround Font was an enjoyable and rewarding process that allowed me to explore the beauty of rounded edges in typography. The goal was to design a font that is soft, approachable, and versatile, with smooth curves that make it ideal for a wide range of applications.
Concept and Inspiration
The inspiration for Samround Font came from the idea of softness and simplicity in design. I wanted to create a typeface that felt warm and welcoming, with rounded edges that give each character a friendly and modern look.
Design Process
Conceptualization and Sketching: The design process began with sketching various rounded letterforms. I focused on how to maintain clarity and legibility while emphasizing smooth, curved lines that convey a sense of approachability.
Digital Design in Adobe Illustrator: After solidifying the concept, I moved on to Adobe Illustrator to bring the font to life. Illustrator's vector tools were instrumental in achieving the precise, smooth curves that define Samround Font. Each character was carefully crafted to maintain consistency in style and proportion.
Refining the Rounded Edges: The key feature of Samround Font is its rounded edges. I spent considerable time refining these curves to ensure that they were perfectly smooth and harmonious across all characters. This step was crucial for achieving the gentle, soft appearance that I envisioned.
