School of Motion - Be The Ice Sculptor

Here is my final assignment for School of Motion's - Animation Bootcamp.

It is a 35-second animated story "The Ice Sculptor" tells the story of an artist utilizing his skills that he's learned to create something difficult, but beautiful.

The chainsaw, if it’s not obvious, is After Effects, and you (the artist) are the ice sculptor. Someone that understands how a chainsaw works, but there was something about your work. that you weren't happy with. And that's the dilemma that we often face as motion designers, we have to learn these really complex tools like After Effects. And once we do, we feel very proud of the fact that we've learned it, but we don't actually know how to make good work with it. We don't know what to do with the tool. That is what this class has taught me what to do with it. And now I have the perfect opportunity to work with one of the best studios on Earth to prove to the world and to my potential client and employer that I now know exactly what to do with this complex tool.
