Industrial Design Proyects

A brief showcase of some of my proyects as a industrial designer, these were created in the timespan from 2016 of 2019.

The projects shown here are Photography, Rendering, 3D Modeling, Graphic Design/Branding projects.

Chronologically these were created before any of the UI/UX projects.

3D Rendering & Modeling

These projects were created throughout my career as an industrial designer, some for academic purposes, others were commissioned works.

Loose chair

Loose, is a chair designed to be used mainly in a living room, with the flexibility to be used in a variety of occasions, compatible to be used in conjunction with a higher table due to its dimensions and the absence of a hand rest, this being what makes it compatible with all types of tables.

Zelatto Branding

Zelatto makes apology to the origins of the frozen desserts, which are two: The Japanese where a fragment of the word "Zesushi" was selected because it is the word "Cold" in that language in relation to the thermal condition that is necessary in this food.

And a fragment of the word "Gelato" that makes apology to the Italian translation, this version of the ice cream is key to the history of the commercialization of this dessert in the western region of the world.

Heavy Duty Scale

The Problem

Faced with the arrival of new competitors in the Mexican region, we collaborated with the Torrey brand to design fresh proposals that would change the archetype of the scale that the brand has been using since 1980, new models that reflect the technological advancement

with which Torrey intends to differentiate itself from its competitors and thus expand into new markets.

Goal

- Implement a system that gives the user the possibility to perform their weighting functions in a fast way.

- Re-design the existing memory system in a simpler and more intuitive system.

Competitive Advantage

The implementation of the pedals as a shortcut makes an exponential improvement in the ease with which weighing operations are done and the learning curve they have becomes slight in comparison to how a traditional scale works.

This removes the need for the user to approach the display screen to perform a series of operations, it is now just a matter of pressing the foot pedal, with the desired option. This is something that no one in the industry currently does and we plan to improve the workflow of every user that interacts with this scale.

Pediatric orthosis

This is a project that was made for the "Design for health" course.

The objective behind this design was to help children affected by West syndrome to improve their quality of life by offering them an orthosis to help them regain muscle strength and also correct their posture to give them more confidence when walking.

The target users of this project are children over two years old, children with loss or lack of balance, walking instability, epileptic seizures and muscle disorders.
