Bento Beatitudes | 2

Here is the 2nd Beatitude in my Bento Beatitudes Digital Art Series!

Matthew 5:4 (NIV): “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”I didn’t fully grasp the meaning of this verse until recently. When I think of comfort, I picture a cozy house with a warm fireplace—a place of peace and healing. This artwork is my interpretation of that comfort.

For a year, I struggled with depression, crying almost every day. It felt like there was no way out. But now, I understand that in our deepest sorrow, God’s comfort is always near, bringing hope and healing.Jesus often used opposites in the Beatitudes to show us the path to becoming more like Him.

Through mourning and hardship, we grow and find true comfort in His presence. If you’re going through a tough season, know that you’re not alone. There is comfort and hope, even in the darkest times.Where do you find comfort in a tough season? I’d love to hear your stories. 🙏
